ہماری آنکھ میں نوکیلے کانٹے

اور بدن میں

زہر کے نیزے ترازو ہو چکے تھے

جب سیہ شب نے

گلابی صبح کے غرقاب ہونے کی خبر پر

ہم سے فوری تبصرہ مانگا

ہمارے ہونٹ

اتنے خشک،

اور اتنے دریدہ تھے

کہ ہم اک لفظ بھی کہتے

تو ریزہ ریزہ ہو جاتے

قلم ہاتھوں میں کیا لیتے

کہ اپنے ہاتھ پہلے ہی قلم تھے

(کیا سخن کہتے

کہاں لکھتے، کسے لکھتے)

سو اہل جاہ نے

جو تبصرہ (جو قتل نامہ) سامنے رکھا

ہم اہل صبر نے

خوں رنگ ہونٹوں کی دریدہ مہر

اس پر ثبت کر دی
