اب آپ کہہ رہے ہیں کہ چہرہ اداس ہے
میں نے سنا تھا آپ کا کمرہ اداس ہے
گردن ہے خودکشی کے بہانے تلاشتی
ہر روز مجھ سے کہتی ہے پنکھا اداس ہے
بارش میں بھیگتی ہوئی لڑکی کو کیا خبر
فٹ پاتھ پر پڑا ہوا چھاتا اداس ہے
کوئی نہ دیکھ پایا تو بولا نہیں کوئی
گونگا ہے بد گمان تو اندھا اداس ہے
پٹری پہ لیٹ جاؤں گا ثروت نہیں ہوں میں
پر جانتا ہوں ریل کا پہیہ اداس ہے
برگد کی شاخ توڑ دی آندھی نے پچھلی رات
اس واسطے تو گاؤں کا بوڑھا اداس ہے
