چلو یہ شام سر جوئے لب گزارتے ہیں

تو اک چراغ جہان دگر ہے کیا جانے

ہم اس زمین پہ کس طرح شب گزارتے ہیں

ہمارا عشق ہی کیا ہے گزارنے والے

یہاں تو نذر میں نام و نسب گزارتے ہیں

خراج مانگ رہی ہے وہ شاہ بانوئے شہر

سو ہم بھی ہدیۂ دست طلب گزارتے ہیں

سنا تو ہوگا کہ جنگل میں مور ناچتا ہے

ہم اس خرابے میں فصل طرب گزارتے ہیں
