انہیں عادت ہمیں لذت ستم کی

ادھر شمشیر ادھر تقدیر چمکی

کہوں کیا درد دل کب سے بڑھا ہے

نگاہ لطف تم نے جب سے کم کی

قدم چومیں گے تیرے ہو کے پامال

چلیں گے چال ہم نقش قدم کی

یہاں تک ان کے وعدے جھوٹ نکلے

قسم کو بھی ہوئی حاجت قسم کی

وہ زلف مشک بو بکھری ہوئی تھی

کھلی چوری نسیم صبح دم کی

یہاں تک ان کو پاس راز خط تھا

کہ خامے کی زباں پہلے قلم کی

زمیں پر اس ادا سے پاؤں رکھا

کہ آنکھیں کھل گئیں نقش قدم کی

کہاں پیری میں وہ روشن بیانی

زباں تو ہے چراغ صبح دم کی

کہاں ہم اور کہاں بخشش ہماری

جلیلؔ اک موج بھی ابر کرم کی
