ستارے کا راز رکھ لیا مہمان میں نے
اِک اُجلے خواب اور آنکھ کے درمیان میں نے
چڑھا ہے جب چاند آسمان پر تو بوجھ اُترا
سُنا دی ہر سونے والے کو داستان میں نے
تمام تیشہ بدست حیرت میں گُم ہوئے ہیں
چراغ سے کاٹ دی ہوا کی چٹان میں نے
میں دھوپ میں کیوں کسی کا احسان مند ہوتا
خود اپنے سائے کو کر لیا سائبان میں نے
جمال ہر شہر سے ہے وہ شہر پیارا مجھ کو
جہاں سے دیکھا تھا پہلی بار آسمان میں نے
