زمیں پہ رہ کے ستارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

مجھے خبر ہے تمہارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

بلائے جاں تھی مگر کتنا پھوٹ کر روئی

ندی کے بیچ کنارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

کسی نے میری متانت کا جب سبب پوچھا

بس ایک پل میں بچارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

بدن کو روح نے ہموار کر لیا لیکن

اسے جو دیکھا کنوارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

میں نیک نام نہ رسوا مگر سر محفل

یہ اور بات گوارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

بہت خلاف تھی آنکھیں بہت اداس تھا دن

خود اپنے گھر میں نظارا سا ہو گیا تھا میں

mujhe KHabar hai tumhaara sa ho gaya tha main

bala-e-jaan thi magar kitna phuT kar roi
nadi ke beach kinara sa ho gaya tha main

kisi ne meri matanat ka jab sabab puchha
bas ek pal mein bechaara sa ho gaya tha main

badan ko ruh ne hamwar kar liya lekin
use jo dekha kanwara sa ho gaya tha main

main nek-nam na ruswa magar sar-e-mahfil
ye aur baat gawara sa ho gaya tha main

bahut KHilaf thi aankhen bahut udas tha din
KHud apne ghar mein nazara sa ho gaya tha main
