سرد جذبے بجھے بجھے چہرے

جسم زندہ ہیں مر گئے چہرے

آج کے دور کی علامت ہیں

فلسفی ذہن سوچتے چہرے

سیل غم سے بھی صاف ہو نہ سکے

گرد آلود ملگجے چہرے

یخ زدہ سوچ کے دریچوں میں

کس نے دیکھے ہیں کانپتے چہرے

اک برس بھی ابھی نہیں گزرا

کتنی جلدی بدل گئے چہرے

میں نے اکثر خود اپنے چہرے پر

دوسروں کے سجا لئے چہرے

وہ تو نکلے بہت ہی بد صورت

کیفؔ دیکھے تھے جو سجے چہرے

jism zinda hain mar gae chehre

aaj ke daur ki alamat hain
falsafi zehn sochte chehre

sail-e-gham se bhi saf ho na sake
gard-alud malgaje chehre

yaKH-zada soch ke darichon mein
kis ne dekhe hain kanpte chehre

ek baras bhi abhi nahin guzra
kitni jaldi badal gae chehre

main ne aksar KHud apne chehre par
dusron ke saja liye chehre

wo to nikle bahut hi bad-surat
'kaif' dekhe the jo saje chehre
