ساری خطائیں میری ہیں اس کی خطا نہیں
حالات دل خراش نے لب اس کے سی دئے
منصف ہمارے شہر کا کچھ بولتا نہیں
کس نے چمن میں کاٹی ہے امن و اماں کی شاخ
دہشت سے ایک پتا بھی اب ڈولتا نہیں
دنیا فقط ہماری ہنسی دیکھتی رہی
لیکن ہمارے غم سے کوئی آشنا نہیں
سنتے ہی ذکر میرا وہ بولے رقیب سے
پردیسیؔ آدمی ہے کوئی دیوتا نہیں

haalat-e-dil-KHarash ne lab us ke si diye
munsif hamare shahr ka kuchh bolta nahin
kis ne chaman mein kaTi hai amn-o-aman ki shaKH
dahshat se ek patta bhi ab Dolta nahin
duniya faqat hamari hansi dekhti rahi
lekin hamare gham se koi aashna nahin
sunte hi zikr mera wo bole raqib se
'pardesi' aadmi hai koi dewta nahin
