بہت ہی معتبر رویا

غم شہ میں اگر رویا

فلک سے جب گھٹا برسی

مرا ہر بام و در رویا

ہوا جب قتل پروانہ

تو قاتل خود شرر رویا

ہنسا تھا آسمانوں میں

زمیں پر کیوں بشر رویا

سر صحرا بہت خوش تھا

سر دریا مگر رویا

پکے پھل توڑ لینے سے

خبر کب تک شجر رویا

نہ جانے کس جگہ پہنچے

جہاں خود پر خضرؔ رویا

bahut hi mo'atabar roya
gham-e-shah mein agar roya

falak se jab ghaTa barsi
mera har baam-o-dar roya

hua jab qatl parwana
to qatil KHud sharar roya

hansa tha aasmanon mein
zamin par kyon bashar roya

sar-e-sahra bahut KHush tha
sar-e-dariya magar roya

pake phal toD lene se
KHabar kab tak shajar roya

na jaane kis jagah pahunche
jahan KHud par 'KHizar' roya
