اگر کنارے پہ ٹھیرنے کی جگہ نہیں ہے
تو اس سفینے سے اچھی کوئی جگہ نہیں ہے
جو ہو سکے تو ابھی سے سامان باندھ لیجے
وہ خود نہ کہہ دے یہاں پر اتنی جگہ نہیں ہے
ترے برابر میں رہنے والے تو کہتے ہوں گے
کہ اس زمیں پر کہیں بھی ایسی جگہ نہیں ہے
تو کیوں نہ خاموش رہ کے ہمدردیاں سمیٹیں
اسے پتہ ہے کہ یہ ہماری جگہ نہیں ہے
یہ کیسے دل میں بسیرا کرنے کو آ گئے ہم
کہ جس کے اطراف میں بھی خالی جگہ نہیں ہے
