آتا ہے اب خیال بھی تیرا تھکا ہوا
پہچان بھی سکی نہ مری زندگی مجھے
اتنی روا روی میں کہیں سامنا ہوا
چمکا سکے نہ تیرہ نصیبوں کی رات کو
ہم راز ہیں ترے مہ و انجم تو کیا ہوا
مجھ سے کہیں ملا غم دوراں تو اس طرح
جیسے مری طرح سے ہے وہ بھی تھکا ہوا
جامیؔ فضائے موسم گل یوں اداس ہے
جیسے کہیں قریب کوئی حادثہ ہوا

pahchan bhi saki na meri zindagi mujhe
itni rawa-rawi mein kahin samna hua
chamka sake na tira-nasibon ki raat ko
hamraaz hain tere mah-o-anjum to kya hua
mujh se kahin mila gham-e-dauran to is tarah
jaise meri tarah se hai wo bhi thaka hua
'jami' faza-e-mausam-e-gul yun udas hai
jaise kahin qarib koi hadsa hua
