لالہ مادھو رام جوہر

بوئے گل سونگھ کر بگڑتے ہیں

یہ پری رو ہوا سے لڑتے ہیں

کیوں جوانی کے پیچھے پڑتے ہیں

بھاگتے کو نہیں پکڑتے ہیں

ایک دن وہ زمین دیکھیں گے

اے فلک آج کو اکڑتے ہیں

مل رہے ہیں وہ اپنے گھر مہندی

ہم یہاں ایڑیاں رگڑتے ہیں

نامہ بر ناامید آتا ہے

ہائے کیا سست پاؤں پڑتے ہیں

جس کے ہیں اس کے ہیں ہم اے جوہر

یار بن کر کہیں بگڑتے ہیں
