اپنی چپ میں وہ شان سمجھے ہے

دل غموں کی زبان سمجھے ہے

خاک سمجھے گا بام و در کا دکھ

وہ جو خود کو مکان سمجھے ہے

خوشبوئیں کیوں خفا خفا سی ہیں

تتلیوں کی اڑان سمجھے ہے

ابھی اس کی سمجھ ہے ناپختہ

تیر کو وہ کمان سمجھے ہے

میرے ہاتھوں کی ان لکیروں کو

گزرے وقتوں کی آن سمجھے ہے

بکھرے بادل کی بد حواسی کو

وہ فضاؤں کی جان سمجھے ہے

KHak samjhega baam-o-dar ka dukh
wo jo KHud ko makan samjhe hai

KHushbuen kyon KHafa KHafa si hain
titliyon ki uDan samjhe hai

abhi us ki samajh hai na-puKHta
tir ko wo kaman samjhe hai

mere hathon ki in lakiron ko
guzre waqton ki aan samjhe hai
