اب اس طرح ستم روزگار ہوتا ہے
قفس کے سامنے ذکر بہار ہوتا ہے
خدا کے واسطے دامن کا چاک سینے دو
کبھی کبھی تو جنوں ہوشیار ہوتا ہے
وفا کا ذکر ہی کیوں چھیڑتے ہیں اہل وفا
جب ان کی خاطر نازک پہ بار ہوتا ہے
وہ سامنے ہوں تو آنسو نکل ہی جاتے ہیں
یہ جرم وہ ہے جو بے اختیار ہوتا ہے
میں مطمئن ہوں اگرچہ خراب ہے ماحول
خزاں کے بعد کا عالم بہار ہوتا ہے

jab un ki KHatir-e-nazuk pe bar hota hai
wo samne hon to aansu nikal hi jate hain
ye jurm wo hai jo be-iKHtiyar hota hai
main mutmain hun agarche KHarab hai mahaul
KHizan ke baad ka aalam bahaar hota hai
