اسی درد آشنا دل کی طرف داری میں رہتے ہیں

ہم اپنے آپ میں گم اپنی غم خواری میں رہتے ہیں

یونہی ہم رفتہ رفتہ دل گرفتہ ہوتے جائیں گے

کہ ہم اپنے غموں کی ناز برداری میں رہتے ہیں

یہ دنیا ہم نے دنیا دار کی آنکھوں سے دیکھی ہے

مگر اے دل ہم اپنی ہی عمل داری میں رہتے ہیں

ہمارے سکھ بہت کم اور دکھ ان سے بہت کم ہیں

سو ہم بھی آج کل ان کی نگہ داری میں رہتے ہیں

ابھی اہل ہوس دنیا میں کیا کیا گل کھلائیں گے

ابھی اہل جنوں خواب جہاں داری میں رہتے ہیں
