کھیتوں کے بیچ پھول کے بستر کے آس پاس
موسم تو آ کے بیٹھ مرے گھر کے آس پاس
بے قید و بند کوندتی رنگین مچھلیاں
دیکھی ہیں میں نے گاؤں کے پوکھر کے آس پاس
یہ کیا ہوا کہ آج بہت تیز دھوپ ہے
سایہ ملا نہ شاخ تناور کے آس پاس
سرسوں کے کشت زار میں ایسا لگا کہ ہوں
فطرت کی چھینٹ دار سی چادر کے آس پاس
مجھ کو نہ سطح آب پہ کچھ بھی ملا اثرؔ
غوطہ لگا کے پہنچا ہوں گوہر کے آس پاس

dekhi hain main ne ganw ke pokhar ke aas-pas
ye kya hua ki aaj bahut tez dhup hai
saya mila na shaKH-e-tanawar ke aas-pas
sarson ke kisht-zar mein aisa laga ki hun
fitrat ki chhinT-dar si chadar ke aas-pas
mujh ko na sath-e-ab pe kuchh bhi mila 'asar'
ghota laga ke pahuncha hun gauhar ke aas-pas
