گل و بلبل بہار میں دیکھا

ایک تجھ کو ہزار میں دیکھا

جل گیا دل سفید ہیں آنکھیں

یہ تو کچھ انتظار میں دیکھا

جیسا مضطر تھا زندگی میں دل

ووہیں میں نے قرار میں دیکھا

آبلے کا بھی ہونا دامن گیر

تیرے کوچے کے خار میں دیکھا

تیرہ عالم ہوا یہ روز سیاہ

اپنے دل کے غبار میں دیکھا

ذبح کر میں کہا تھا مرتا ہوں

دم نہیں مجھ شکار میں دیکھا

جن بلاؤں کو میرؔ سنتے تھے

ان کو اس روزگار میں دیکھا
