مت ہو مغرور اے کہ تجھ میں زور ہے

یاں سلیماں کے مقابل مور ہے

مر گئے پر بھی ہے صولت فقر کی

چشم شیر اپنا چراغ گور ہے

جب سے کاغذ باد کا ہے شوق اسے

ایک عالم اس کے اوپر ڈور ہے

رہنمائی شیخ سے مت چشم رکھ

وائے وہ جس کا عصا کش کور ہے

لے ہی جاتی ہے زر گل کو اڑا

صبح کی بھی باؤ بادی چور ہے

دل کھنچے جاتے ہیں سارے اس طرف

کیونکے کہیے حق ہماری اور ہے

تھا بلا ہنگامہ آرا میرؔ بھی

اب تلک گلیوں میں اس کا شور ہے
