اکڑ شاہ اک شخص نادان تھا

وہ اس بات سے لیکن انجان تھا

تھی اس کی طبیعت میں آوارگی

حماقت وہ کرتا تھا یک بارگی

وہ قرضوں کے مارے پریشان تھا

اصول تجارت سے انجان تھا

خریدار آتے تھے بس خال خال

کہ موسم کا رکھتا نہ تھا وہ خیال

کہ سردی میں وہ گولے گنڈے رکھے

تو گرمی میں وہ ابلے انڈے رکھے

دسمبر میں قلفی کی کھولے دکان

مئی میں رکھے موٹے کپڑوں کے تھان

wo is baat se lekin anjaan tha

thi us ki tabiat mein aawargi
himaqat wo karta tha yak-bargi

wo qarzon ke mare pareshan tha
usul-e-tijarat se anjaan tha

KHaridar aate the bas KHal-KHal
ki mausam ka rakhta na tha wo KHayal

ki sardi mein wo gole ghanDe rakhe
