ہدف میں اس کا بنا جس سے دوستانہ ہوا

کشیدگئ مراسم سے مطمئن ہوں بہت

فسردہ خاطرئ یار تو بہانہ ہوا

اب اس سے رسم و رہ دوستی نہیں ممکن

یہ ایک فیصلہ ہونا تھا والہانہ ہوا

مرے خدا نے طلب سے مجھے زیادہ دیا

مرا نصیب نہ محروم آب و دانہ ہوا

دعائے خیر کہ اب بجلیوں کی زد میں ہے

مرا قفس ہوا یا تیرا آشیانہ ہوا

کچھ اس کا حسن تھا کچھ زیوروں کی زیبائش

یہ خواب تھا اسے دیکھے ہوئے زمانہ ہوا

یہ دل کہ جس میں ہیں مدفون سینکڑوں یادیں

نوادرات کا محسنؔ کوئی خزانہ ہوا
