تماشا اس برس ایسا ہوا ہے

تماشا اس برس ایسا ہوا ہے

سمندر سوکھ کر صحرا ہوا ہے

ہمیں بھیجا تو ہے دنیا میں لیکن

ہمارے ساتھ کچھ دھوکا ہوا ہے

مجھے لگتا ہے جادوگر نے مجھ کو

کسی زنجیر سے باندھا ہوا ہے

جہاں پر شادیانے بج رہے ہیں

مرا لشکر وہیں پسپا ہوا ہے

جو میرے اور اس کے درمیاں تھی

اسی دیوار پر جھگڑا ہوا ہے

اسیران قفس یہ پوچھتے ہیں

مقیمان چمن کو کیا ہوا ہے

کئی دن سے بس اک حرف محبت

سر نوک زباں اٹکا ہوا ہے

گزر گاہوں میں سناٹا ہے محسنؔ

غبار ہمرہاں بیٹھا ہوا ہے
