منیب الرحمن

ایک گالی جو کیچڑ کے مانند چسپاں ہوئی

ہونٹ جو کاسۂ مفلسی بن گئے

ہاتھ جو گردنوں پر جھپٹنے لگے

اور چاول کے جب چند دانے ملے

انتڑیوں کا یہ آتش فشاں بجھ گیا

پیٹ کی بھوک سچ مچ جہنم کا تنور ہے

لیکن اس بھوک کا کیا مداوا کریں

جو اصولوں کے اس قحط میں

اپنے زخموں پہ خاموش ہے

شارع عام پر چاٹتی ہے انہیں

اور اس بھیڑ میں

کون ہے جو اسے بھیک دے

سب بھکاری ہیں کوئی دیالو نہیں

ek gali jo kichaD ke manind chaspan hui
honT jo kasa-e-muflisi ban gae
hath jo gardanon par jhapaTne lage
aur chawal ke jab chand dane mile
antaDiyon ka ye aatish-fishan bujh gaya

peT ki bhuk sach-much jahannam ka tanur hai
lekin is bhuk ka kya mudawa karen
jo usulon ke is qaht mein
apne zaKHmon pe KHamosh hai
shaar-e-am par chaTti hai unhen
aur is bhiD mein
kaun hai jo use bhik de
sab bhikari hain koi dayalu nahin
