آ گئی یاد شام ڈھلتے ہی

بجھ گیا دل چراغ جلتے ہی

کھل گئے شہر غم کے دروازے

اک ذرا سی ہوا کے چلتے ہی

کون تھا تو کہ پھر نہ دیکھا تجھے

مٹ گیا خواب آنکھ ملتے ہی

خوف آتا ہے اپنے ہی گھر سے

ماہ شب تاب کے نکلتے ہی

تو بھی جیسے بدل سا جاتا ہے

عکس دیوار کے بدلتے ہی

خون سا لگ گیا ہے ہاتھوں میں

چڑھ گیا زہر گل مسلتے ہی
