قلم بھی روشنائی دے رہا ہے

مجھے اپنی کمائی دے رہا ہے

میں دریا دے رہا ہوں کشتیوں کو

وہ مجھ کو نا خدائی دے رہا ہے

کوئی خاموش سا طوفاں ہوا کا

پرندوں کو سنائی دے رہا ہے

مری نظروں سے اوجھل ہے مگر وہ

جدھر دیکھوں دکھائی دے رہا ہے

شہابؔ اڑ کر چراغوں تک تو پہنچو

اگر کچھ کچھ سجھائی دے رہا ہے

mujhe apni kamai de raha hai

main dariya de raha hun kashtiyon ko
wo mujh ko na-KHudai de raha hai

koi KHamosh sa tufan hawa ka
parindon ko sunai de raha hai

meri nazron se ojhal hai magar wo
jidhar dekhun dikhai de raha hai
