بیتے لمحوں کو ڈھونڈھتا ہوں میں

تتلیوں کو پکڑ رہا ہوں میں

جانے والے مجھے بھی لے چل ساتھ

قید ہستی میں مبتلا ہوں میں

اک طرف سوچ اک طرف احساس

دو گروہوں میں بٹ گیا ہوں میں

جبر آغاز جبر ہی انجام

تجھ سے خالق مرے خفا ہوں میں

جب سے تیرے قریب آیا ہوں

خود سے بھی دور ہو گیا ہوں میں

تو مری موت کو حرام نہ کہہ

تیری خاطر تو مر رہا ہوں میں

سنگ رہ بن کے روک لوں گا تجھے

تیری عادت سمجھ گیا ہوں میں
