ہم آج اپنا مقدر بدل کے دیکھتے ہیں

تمہارے ساتھ بھی کچھ دور چل کے دیکھتے ہیں

ادھر چراغ بجھانے کو ہے ہوا بیتاب

ادھر یے ضد کہ ہواؤں میں جل کے دیکھتے ہیں

چلو پھر آج زمینوں میں جذب ہو جائیں

چھلک کے آنکھ سے باہر نکل کے دیکھتے ہیں

یے عشق کوئی بلا ہے جنون ہے کیا ہے

یہ کیسی آگ ہے پتھر پگھل کے دیکھتے ہیں

عجیب پیاس ہے دریا سے بجھ نہیں پائی

جو تم کہو تو سمندر نگل کے دیکھتے ہیں

وو گر نگاہ ملا لے تو معجزہ کر دے

اسی لیے تو ادھر ہم سنبھل کے دیکھتے ہیں

بدل کے خود ہی ہمیں رہ گئے زمانہ میں

چلے تھے گھر سے کہ دنیا بدل کے دیکھتے ہیں
