میری تیری دوریاں ہیں اب عبادت کے خلاف

ہر طرف ہے فوج آرائی محبت کے خلاف

حرف سرمد خون دارا کے علاوہ شہر میں

کون ہے جو سر اٹھائے بادشاہت کے خلاف

پہلے جیسا ہی دکھی ہے آج بھی بوڑھا کبیر

کوئی آیت کا مخالف کوئی مورت کے خلاف

میں بھی چپ ہوں تو بھی چپ ہے بات یہ سچ ہے مگر

ہو رہا ہے جو بھی وہ تو ہے طبیعت کے خلاف

مدتوں کے بعد دیکھا تھا اسے اچھا لگا

دیر تک ہنستا رہا وہ اپنی عادت کے خلاف
