نہ جانے کون سا منظر نظر میں رہتا ہے

تمام عمر مسافر سفر میں رہتا ہے

لڑائی دیکھے ہوئے دشمنوں سے ممکن ہے

مگر وہ خوف جو دیوار و در میں رہتا ہے

خدا تو مالک و مختار ہے کہیں بھی رہے

کبھی بشر میں کبھی جانور میں رہتا ہے

عجیب دور ہے یہ طے شدہ نہیں کچھ بھی

نہ چاند شب میں نہ سورج سحر میں رہتا ہے

جو ملنا چاہو تو مجھ سے ملو کہیں باہر

وہ کوئی اور ہے جو میرے گھر میں رہتا ہے

بدلنا چاہو تو دنیا بدل بھی سکتی ہے

عجب فتور سا ہر وقت سر میں رہتا ہے
