ہوائے شام نہ جانے کہاں سے آتی ہے

وہاں گلاب بہت ہیں جہاں سے آتی ہے

یہ کس کا چہرہ دمکتا ہے میری آنکھوں میں

یہ کس کی یاد مجھے کہکشاں سے آتی ہے

اسی فلک سے اترتا ہے یہ اندھیرا بھی

یہ روشنی بھی اسی آسماں سے آتی ہے

یہ کس نے خاک اڑا دی ہے لالہ زاروں میں

زمیں پہ ایسی تباہی کہاں سے آتی ہے

صدائے گریہ جسے ایک میں ہی سنتا ہوں

ہجوم شہر ترے درمیاں سے آتی ہے
