مجھے اے زندگی آواز مت دے
نہیں منزل کوئی پرواز مت دے
جئے جاتا ہوں عادت بن چکی ہے
نہیں سر لگتے یا رب ساز مت دے
نیا ہے روپ عالم کا خدایا
انوکھا اب مجھے انداز مت دے
نتیجہ جانتا ہوں دل لگی کا
سزائیں فاختہ کو باز مت دے
پس پردہ رہا ہے بھید اب تک
نہیں حامل انہیں تو راز مت دے
رہا انجام ہے جن کی نظر میں
انہیں جو چاہے دے آغاز مت دے
نبھایا فرض ہی کب حکمراں کا
کسی قاتل کو تو اعزاز مت دے
