شور کرتے تھے پرندے سو گئے اچھا ہوا

کوئی آہٹ کوئی دستک کچھ نہیں کچھ بھی نہیں

بھولی بسری اک کہانی ہو گئے اچھا ہوا

ایک مدت سے ہمارے آئینے پہ گرد تھی

آنسوؤں کے سیل اس کو دھو گئے اچھا ہوا

بیکلی کوئی نہ تھی تو دل بڑا بے زار تھا

اب حوادث درد اس میں بو گئے اچھا ہوا

رنگ اپنا ہو نمایاں شوق بے جا تھا ہمیں

راستوں کی دھول میں ہم کھو گئے اچھا ہوا

بے سبب روتا تھا فکریؔ اور رلاتا تھا ہمیں

اب زمانہ ہو گیا اس کو گئے اچھا ہوا
