کُچھ بتائیں دِل کا شِیشہ چُور کیوں رکھا گیا
پُوچھنا تھا یہ، ہمیں رنجُور کیوں رکھا گیا
جانتا تو تھا یہاں پر غُلغلہ اندھوں کا ہے
کور چشموں میں ارے منصُورؔ کیوں رکھا گیا
جب مُقدّر کے سِتارے آسمانوں میں رکھے
پِھر زمِیں سے آسماں کو دُور کیوں رکھا گیا
اے دِلِ وحشی سمجھ آیا نہ تیرا فلسفہ
چھوڑ کر خُوشیاں الم منظُور کیوں رکھا گیا
جو گیا دُنیا سے مُڑ کر پِھر کبھی آیا نہِیں
آدمی کو اس قدر مجبُور کیوں رکھا گیا
ہر قدم، ہر مرحلے پر مُنتظر ہے اِمتحاں
سخت اِتنا عِشق کا دستُور کیوں رکھا گیا
اُس پری رُخ کو کِسی دِن دُور جانا تھا اگر
سونپ کر وحشت ہمیں مہجُور کیوں رکھا گیا
اِتفاقاً مُدّتوں کے بعد آیا ہے خیال
اُس گھنیری زُلف کا محصُور کیوں رکھا گیا
اپنی شُہرت کی حقِیقت کُچھ نہِیں حسرتؔ مِیاں
گُم اگر ہونا ہی تھا مشہُور کیوں رکھا گیا
