خُود اپنا ہاتھ بس تھامے ہُوئے مَیں رہ گیا ہُوں
پروفیسر رشید حسرت
خُود اپنا ہاتھ بس تھامے ہُوئے مَیں رہ گیا ہُوں
صدی کا دُکھ ہُوں جو آنکھوں سے اپنی بہہ گیا ہُوں
کبھی بھی اور کِسی کا حق ہڑپ کرنا نہِیں ہے
یہی بچّوں سے اپنے مرتے مرتے کہہ گیا ہُوں
وہاں سے ہے غُلاموں کا کوئی جرّار لشکر
مگر اِس سمت سے لڑنے کو مَیں اِک شہ گیا ہُوں
یہ سچ ہے اپنے بچّوں کے لِیے تھا ایک ڈھارس
چلا آیا ہے وہ طُوفان خُود پر ڈہ گیا ہُوں
خُود اپنے آپ پر تنقِید کی ہے آپ مَیں نے
کہُوں کیا آپ اپنی بات ہنس کر سہہ گیا ہُوں
مزے لے لے کے پڑھتے ہو کُھلا خط ہُوں مَیں کوئی؟
کیا مشہُور اُس نے مَیں یہاں سے تہہ گیا ہُوں
ہتھیلی میں سمویا اُس نے، اُس کو پیاس بھی تھی
مگر حسرتؔ مَیں درزوں میں سے پِھر بھی بہہ گیا ہُوں
