تمہارے شہر کا موسم بڑا سہانا لگے

میں ایک شام چرا لوں اگر برا نہ لگے

تمہارے بس میں اگر ہو تو بھول جاؤ مجھے

تمہیں بھلانے میں شاید مجھے زمانہ لگے

جو ڈوبنا ہے تو اتنے سکون سے ڈوبو

کہ آس پاس کی لہروں کو بھی پتا نہ لگے

وہ پھول جو مرے دامن سے ہو گئے منسوب

خدا کرے انہیں بازار کی ہوا نہ لگے

نہ جانے کیا ہے کسی کی اداس آنکھوں میں

وہ منہ چھپا کے بھی جائے تو بے وفا نہ لگے

تو اس طرح سے مرے ساتھ بے وفائی کر

کہ تیرے بعد مجھے کوئی بے وفا نہ لگے

تم آنکھ موند کے پی جاؤ زندگی قیصرؔ

کہ ایک گھونٹ میں ممکن ہے بد مزہ نہ لگے
