لگ کے بیٹھا تھا ایک کونے سے

راشد امام

لگ کے بیٹھا تھا ایک کونے سے

تازہ دم ہو گیا ہوں رونے سے

یہ جواں سال ہو گیا بوڑھا

اک تجسس کا بوجھ ڈھونے سے

خواب آنکھوں پہ بار ہوتے ہیں

میں بہت تھک گیا ہوں سونے سے

دل بھی کتنا عجیب ہوتا ہے

جو بہلتا نہیں کھلونے سے

وہ محبت نہیں ملی ہم کو

واقعہ رہ گیا ہے ہونے سے

مثل یعقوب بھی نہیں ہم لوگ

آنکھیں اندھی ہیں پھر بھی رونے سے

ہم فقط خون روئیں گے راشدؔ

ہم رہے شہر کو ڈبونے سے

taza-dam ho gaya hun rone se

ye jawan sal ho gaya buDha
ek tajassus ka bojh Dhone se

KHwab aankhon pe bar hote hain
main bahut thak gaya hon sone se

dil bhi kitna ajib hota hai
jo bahalta nahin khilaune se

wo mohabbat nahin mili hum ko
waqia rah gaya hai hone se

misl-e-yaqub bhi nahin hum log
aankhen andhi hain phir bhi rone se

hum faqat KHun roenge 'rashid'
hum rahe shahr ko Dubone se
