ہم نے اس دھوپ سے اماں کے لئے
صباحت عروج
ہم نے اس دھوپ سے اماں کے لئے
جسم تانے ہیں سائباں کے لئے
آنکھ منظر سے آشنا ہی نہیں
لفظ ڈھونڈے ہیں پھر زباں کے لئے
مجھ پہ پھینکے گئے تھے جو پتھر
میں نے رکھے ہیں وہ مکاں کے لئے
خود فریبی تو اب نہیں ممکن
خواب دیکھے ہیں بس جہاں کے لئے
ہم جو بھیجے گئے ہیں دنیا میں
ایک طعنہ ہیں آسماں کے لئے
کوئی خواہش ادھوری رہ جائے
کوئی حیلہ ہو اب فغاں کے لئے
جن کی منزل انہیں میسر ہو
وہ نکلتے ہیں پھر کہاں کے لئے
ہم اداسی کی اک شبیہ ہیں اب

lafz DhunDe hain phir zaban ke liye
mujh pe phenke gae the jo patthar
main ne rakkhe hain wo makan ke liye
KHud-farebi to ab nahin mumkin
KHwab dekhe hain bas jahan ke liye
hum jo bheje gae hain duniya mein
ek tana hain aasman ke liye
koi KHwahish adhuri rah jae
koi hila ho ab fughan ke liye
jin ki manzil unhen mayassar ho
wo nikalte hain phir kahan ke liye
hum udasi ki ek shabih hain ab
istiara hain hum KHizan ke liye
