اس بحث میں کیا پڑنا کسے بھول گئے ہیں

ہم دشت میں کب پیڑ ہوئے بھول گئے ہیں

کچھ قابل رشک اپنی محبت بھی نہیں تھی

کچھ شہرت دوراں سے ڈرے بھول گئے ہیں

میں گرد کو اوڑھے ہوئے مدت سے پڑا ہوں

وہ ہاتھ کہیں رکھ کے مجھے بھول گئے ہیں

اسباق ترے یاد ہیں احسان بھی سارے

جا گردش ایام تجھے بھول گئے ہیں

اب زخم کو تازہ کوئی رکھے بھی تو کیونکر

اب یاد بھی کیا کرنا جسے بھول گئے ہیں

ہم لمبی مسافت میں کسی ہاتھ سے چھوٹے

ہم لوگ کہاں کس کو ملے بھول گئے ہیں

ہم زنگ زدہ قفل کی تمثیل تھے صابرؔ

کب کیسے کسی دل میں پڑے بھول گئے ہیں

hum dasht mein kab peD hue bhul gae hain

kuchh qabil-e-rashk apni mohabbat bhi nahin thi
kuchh shohrat-e-dauran se Dare bhul gae hain

main gard ko oDhe hue muddat se paDa hun
wo hath kahin rakh ke mujhe bhul gae hain

asbaq tere yaad hain ehsan bhi sare
ja gardish-e-ayyam tujhe bhul gae hain

ab zaKHm ko taza koi rakkhe bhi to kyunkar
ab yaad bhi kya karna jise bhul gae hain

hum lambi masafat mein kisi hath se chhuTe
hum log kahan kis ko mile bhul gae hain

hum zang-zada qufl ki tamsil the 'sabir'
kab kaise kisi dil mein paDe bhul gae hain
