شعور دے کے مجھے بال و پر نہیں دیتا

شعور دے کے مجھے بال و پر نہیں دیتا

سفر کا کہتا ہے زاد سفر نہیں دیتا

یہ کون مجھ کو مری ذات سے چھپاتا ہے

یہ کون مجھ کو ہی میری خبر نہیں دیتا

نشان منزل مقصود تو بتاتا ہے

کسی بھی طور وہ اذن سفر نہیں دیتا

زمانہ گو مجھے مائل بہ جنگ کرتا ہے

مگر یہ تیغ و سنان و سپر نہیں دیتا

ستم تو جو بھی کرے تجھ کو ہے روا لیکن

مرا ضمیر مجھے یہ ہنر نہیں دیتا

مبادا لوٹ کے آؤں کوئی نہ پہچانے

نکلنے گھر سے یہ سجادؔ ڈر نہیں دیتا

safar ka kahta hai zad-e-safar nahin deta

ye kaun mujh ko meri zat se chhupata hai
ye kaun mujh ko hi meri KHabar nahin deta

nishan-e-manzil-e-maqsud to batata hai
kisi bhi taur wo izn-e-safar nahin deta

zamana go mujhe mail-ba-jang karta hai
magar ye tegh-o-sinan-o-sipar nahin deta

sitam to jo bhi kare tujh ko hai rawa lekin
mera zamir mujhe ye hunar nahin deta

mabaada lauT ke aaun koi na pahchane
nikalne ghar se ye 'sajjad' Dar nahin deta
