بیچ کی دیوار ٹوٹی

میرے کمرے نے ذرا آرام سے

پھیلائے اپنے پاؤں

اس سے لیکن

مجھ کو آخر کیا ملا

دیکھنا مجھ کو پڑا ہے

پھر وہی معمول

روز و شب کا پہلا سلسلہ

دیکھنا مجھ کو پڑا ہے

سینکڑوں گرہوں سے الجھے ناخنوں کو

جاگتی پھرتی سی آنکھیں

خامشی کی گردنوں پر

جلتی زنجیروں کا بوجھ

جیسے آوازوں نے

کر لی ہو اچانک خودکشی

بیچ کی دیوار

آؤ

پھر اٹھا دیں

اپنے کمرے سے کہیں

پھر سمیٹے پاؤں وہ

phailae apne panw

mujh ko aaKHir kya mila

dekhna mujh ko paDa hai
phir wahi mamul
roz-o-shab ka pahla silsila

sainkaDon girhon se uljhe naKHunon ko
jagti phirti si aankhen
KHamushi ki gardanon par
jalti zanjiron ka bojh
jaise aawazon ne
kar li ho aachanak KHud-kushi
