کسی کی یاد آفت ڈھا رہی ہے

طبیعت خود بخود گھبرا رہی ہے

چلا ہوں اس نظر کی جستجو میں

جہاں دل ہے وہ منزل آ رہی ہے

محبت کو نہیں سمجھی ہے اب تک

مگر دنیا ہمیں سمجھا رہی ہے

یہی ہے کیا محبت کا زمانہ

زمانے پر اداسی چھا رہی ہے

انہیں جی بھر کے اب دیکھیں گے شاہدؔ

یہ سنتے ہیں قیامت آ رہی ہے

kisi ki yaad aafat Dha rahi hai
tabiat KHud-baKHud ghabra rahi hai

chala hun us nazar ki justuju mein
jahan dil hai wo manzil aa rahi hai

mohabbat ko nahin samjhi hai ab tak
magar duniya hamein samjha rahi hai

yahi hai kya mohabbat ka zamana
zamane par udasi chha rahi hai

unhen ji bhar ke ab dekhenge 'shahid'
ye sunte hain qayamat aa rahi hai
