کاروبار شوق میں بس فائدہ اتنا ہوا

تجھ سے ملنا تھا کہ میں کچھ اور بھی تنہا ہوا

کوئی پلکوں سے اترتی رات کو روکے ذرا

شام کی دہلیز پر اک سایہ ہے سہما ہوا

منجمد ہوتی چلی جاتی ہیں آوازیں تمام

ایک سناٹا ہے سارے شہر میں پھیلا ہوا

آسمانوں پر لکھی تحریر دھندلی ہو گئی

اب کوئی مصرف نہیں آنکھوں کا یہ اچھا ہوا

اس ہتھیلی میں بہت سی دستکیں روپوش ہیں

اس گلی کے موڑ پر اک گھر تھا کل تک کیا ہوا
