زمیں سے تا بہ فلک دھند کی خدائی ہے

زمیں سے تا بہ فلک دھند کی خدائی ہے

ہوائے شہر جنوں کیا پیام لائی ہے

پیا ہے زہر بھی آب حیات بھی لیکن

کسی نے تشنگیٔ جسم و جاں بجھائی ہے

یہ کوئی ضد ہے کہ ہے رسم عاشقی ہی یہی

ہوا کے رخ پہ جو شمع وفا جلائی ہے

یہ کم نہیں کہ طرف دار ہیں مرے کچھ لوگ

ہنر کی ورنہ یہاں کس نے داد پائی ہے

مسافران رہ شوق اور تیز قدم

کہ چند گام ہی اب منزل جدائی ہے
