آج میری شب فرقت کی سحر آئی ہے
شمیم جے پوری
آج میری شب فرقت کی سحر آئی ہے
مدتوں بعد تری راہ گزر آئی ہے
دیکھ تو لیجے مرے خون تمنا کی بہار
جس کی سرخی مری آنکھوں میں اتر آئی ہے
تو نے تو ترک محبت کی قسم کھائی تھی
کیوں تری آنکھ مجھے دیکھ کے بھر آئی ہے
ان کے پیراہن رنگیں کی مہک ہے اس میں
آج کیا باد صبا ہو کے ادھر آئی ہے
اس میں کچھ ان کی جفائیں بھی تو شامل ہیں شمیمؔ
بے وفائی کی جو تہمت مرے سر آئی ہے

muddaton baad teri rahguzar aai hai
dekh to lije mere KHun-e-tamanna ki bahaar
jis ki surKHi meri aaankhon mein utar aai hai
tu ne to tark-e-mohabbat ki qasam khai thi
kyun teri aankh mujhe dekh ke bhar aai hai
un ke pairahan-e-rangin ki mahak hai is mein
aaj kya baad-e-saba ho ke udhar aai hai
is mein kuchh un ki jafaen bhi to shamil hain 'shamim'
bewafai ki jo tohmat mere sar aai hai
