کسی ٹرین کے نیچے وہ کٹ گیا ہوتا

غبار راہ طلسمات چھٹ گیا ہوتا

چلو یہ اچھا کہ چندن بدن سے دور رہے

میں سانپ بن کے کمر سے لپٹ گیا ہوتا

کسی کے ہجر میں اتنی گھٹن سے بہتر تھا

ہوا میں صورت غبارہ پھٹ گیا ہوتا

ہوا کہ ڈھیر سی اشیا سے بھر گیا دامن

اے کاش ذرۂ نیکی بھی اٹ گیا ہوتا

زبان آتی تو اسلوب کوئی گڑھ لیتا

اسے پٹانا نہیں تھا وہ پٹ گیا ہوتا

ghubar-e-rah-e-tilismat chhaT gaya hota

chalo ye achchha ki chandan badan se dur rahe
main sanp ban ke kamar se lipaT gaya hota

kisi ke hijr mein itni ghuTan se behtar tha
hawa mein surat-e-ghubara phaT gaya hota

hua ki Dher si ashiya se bhar gaya daman
ai kash zarra-e-neki bhi aT gaya hota

zaban aati to uslub koi gaDh leta
use paTana nahin tha wo paT gaya hota
