برسوں پہلے چلتے چلتے یوں ہی اٹھا لایا
ششی کانت ورما
برسوں پہلے چلتے چلتے یوں ہی اٹھا لایا
کالی راتوں سے میں اک روشنی اٹھا لایا
عشق کو وہیں چھوڑ آیا میں حال پر اس کے
عشق میں سے پر اپنی بندگی اٹھا لایا
سرخ سے کسی کپڑے کو لپیٹے آئی شام
مانو آسماں اس کی اوڑھنی اٹھا لایا
پوچھی جب مثال اس کے حسن کی کسی نے تو
پھول کی میں نازک سی پنکھڑی اٹھا لایا
یہ بھی اک عنایت ہے اس کے پہلو سے حاصل
یعنی جب بھی آیا میں تازگی اٹھا لایا
چوما میں نے اس کا ماتھا بڑی محبت سے
اور ہونٹوں پر اپنے شاعری اٹھا لایا

surKH se kisi kapDe ko lapeTe aai sham
mano aasman us ki oDhni uTha laya
puchhi jab misal us ke husn ki kisi ne to
phul ki main nazuk si pankhuDi uTha laya
ye bhi ek inayat hai us ke pahlu se hasil
yani jab bhi aaya main tazgi uTha laya
chuma main ne us ka matha baDi mohabbat se
aur honTon par apne shairi uTha laya
