مختلف ایک ہی سپاہ کا دکھ
اک پیادے کا ایک شاہ کا دکھ
منزلوں تک ہمارے ساتھ گیا
مختصر ایک شاہراہ کا دکھ
دکھ ہمیں اک ادھورے رشتے کا
اسی رشتے سے پھر نباہ کا دکھ
یعنی یک طرفہ تھا ہمارا عشق
ہم نے پالا تھا خواہ مخواہ کا دکھ
آپ شہزادی لینے آئے ہیں
کیسے سمجھیں گے بادشاہ کا دکھ

muKHtasar ek shahrah ka dukh
dukh hamein ek adhure rishte ka
isi rishte se phir nibah ka dukh
yani yak-tarfa tha hamara ishq
hum ne pala tha KHwah-maKHwah ka dukh
aap shahzadi lene aae hain
kaise samjhenge baadshah ka dukh
