ہمارے نام کا بے نام حصہ

کسی کے نام لکھوایا گیا ہے

کبھی احسان کوئی کر گیا تھا

برابر یاد دلوایا گیا ہے

یہ آنکھیں نیند میں بھی جاگتی ہیں

یہ کس کا ذکر دہرایا گیا ہے

ہم اپنی گفتگو بھی تولتے ہیں

ہمیں بیوپار سکھلایا گیا ہے

hamare nam ka be-nam hissa
kisi ke nam likhwaya gaya hai

kabhi ehsan koi kar gaya tha
barabar yaad dilwaya gaya hai

ye aankhen nind mein bhi jagti hain
ye kis ka zikr dohraya gaya hai

hum apni guftugu bhi taulte hain
hamein bewpar sikhlaya gaya hai
