سرخ تھے خوں سے اوس کے قطرے

پھول کی پنکھڑی پہ جب چھٹکے

پھر ترے حسن کے شگوفے کھلے

چاندنی مہکی رنگ سے چھلکے

پھر نگاہوں میں چھا گئی مستی

پھر گھٹا اٹھی زلف کو کھولے

خواب تھے تیرے کس قدر رنگیں

خلوت شب میں پھول سے برسے

تو شبستاں میں مست سوتی رہی

چاندنی لے گئی ترے بوسے

بجلیوں سے سجی سہاگ کی رات

تابش حسن سے جلے سہرے

پی لیا آج زہر غم ہم نے

بجھ گئے آج آنسوؤں کے دیے

phir tere husn ke shagufe khile
chandni mahki rang se chhalke

phir nigahon mein chha gai masti
phir ghaTa uTThi zulf ko khole

KHwab the tere kis qadar rangin
KHalwat-e-shab mein phul se barse

tu shabistan mein mast soti rahi
chandni le gai tere bose

bijliyon se saji suhag ki raat
tabish-e-husn se jale sehre

pi liya aaj zahr-e-gham hum ne
bujh gae aaj aansuon ke diye
