نفس نفس مہک اٹھا نظر نظر نکھر گئی
نگاہ ناز جب اٹھی عجیب کام کر گئی
جو رنگ رخ اڑا دیا تو دل میں رنگ بھر گئی
مری سمجھ میں آ گیا ہر ایک راز زندگی
جو دل پہ چوٹ پڑ گئی تو دور تک نظر گئی
اب آس ٹوٹ کر مجھے سکوں نصیب ہو گیا
جو شام انتظار تھی وہ شام تو گزر گئی
کلی دل تباہ کی کھلی نہ چشتیٔؔ حزیں
خزاں بھی آ کے جا چکی بہار بھی گزر گئی

nigah-e-naz jab uThi ajib kaam kar gai
jo rang-e-ruKH uDa diya to dil mein rang bhar gai
meri samajh mein aa gaya har ek raaz-e-zindagi
jo dil pe choT paD gai to dur tak nazar gai
ab aas TuT kar mujhe sukun nasib ho gaya
jo sham-e-intizar thi wo sham to guzar gai
kali dil-e-tabah ki khili na 'chishti'-e-hazin
KHizan bhi aa ke ja chuki bahaar bhi guzar gai
