میرے جنم کا یہی مقصد ہے محبت کا فروغ

دل یہ محبت سے ہے پُر صرف لبادہ نہیں ہے

نفرتیں ٹھہریں کہاں اتنا بھی کشادہ نہیں ہے

ہاں وہ تعلق جو مری ہتک پہ تب ختم ہوا

میرا تو تجدیدِ تعلق کا ارادہ نہیں ہے

میرے جنم کا یہی مقصد ہے محبت کا فروغ

میں نے یہ تو کر کے دکھایا ہے اعادہ نہیں ہے

بس یہ کہ پیغامِ محبت سے ملا حسنِ مزاج

اور تو اس میں مرا کوئی بھی افادہ نہیں ہے

ایک بشر ہوں میں تصنع کروں اعجازؔ تو کیوں

خود پہ مرا ضبط یہ اتنا بھی زیادہ نہیں ہے
